MesaStila Peaks Challenge is a unique and extreme trail running event that aims to challenge the inner spirit and the physical condition in the heart of Java. This year’s races will definitely be more challenging and offer more beautiful Javanese scenery, with five categories 100k/65k/42k/42k/21k/11k Escape onto unused tracks, overgrown jungle trails, small village roads, rice paddies, cross and climb up to five mountains in Central Java Mt. Andong 1726m, Mt. Merbabu 3145, Mt. Merapi 2930, Mt. Telomoyo 1894m and Mt. Gilipetung 1400m with a cumulative gain of up to 7758 m, finishing in the retreat of MesaStila

CONDITIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS RACE

MESASTILA PEAKS CHALLENGE - 21 KM & 11 KM

  1. The MesaStila Peaks Challenge offers a demanding course that involves difficult terrain, a testing environment and strenuous hill-climbs. With this challenging course comes the possibility of injury and participants should take care when taking part in the race as there is a possibility of injury.
  2. Terrain (tough) - Jungle pathways through the coffee plantation with some steep steps cut into the jungle terrain, up to the hill running on pine forest and Jungle trails following across the edges of ride fields with some narrow trails.
  3. The above condition You will be responsible for yourself and have the ability to deal with any problems that may be encountered during the race.
  4. You fully understand that you are responsible for overcoming the above conditions on your own and that it is not the responsibility of the race organization.
  5. You are fully aware that when participating in an outdoor activity such as this race, your safety depends on your own skills and abilities.
  6. Video/television footage, photos, articles, race results, etc. may be used and/or shown in newspapers, television, magazines, internet, pamphlets, etc. You understand and agree that these rights belong to the race organization and may be used for these purposes.

 

MESASTILA PEAKS CHALLENGE – 100k, 65k and 42k

  1. You understand the unique nature and requirements of competing in an ultra-long distance trail running race. You will be running in the dark of early morning and all day through mountainous terrain and have undertaken the necessary training to compete in such a race.
  2. You will be responsible for yourself and have the ability to deal with any problems that may be encountered during the race.
  3. You are able to deal with, on your own without assistance, deteriorating weather conditions (low temperatures, strong winds, and rain) and other troubles expected when traveling across mountainous terrain.
  4. You are able to deal with extreme fatigue, internal organ and digestive problems, muscle pain, mild physical injuries and psychological problems on your own.
  5. You are fully aware that when participating in an outdoor activity such as this race, your safety depends on your own skills and abilities.
  6. You fully understand that you are responsible for overcoming the above conditions 1 to 4 on your own and that it is not the responsibility of the race organization.
  7. Video/television footage, photos, articles, race results, etc. may be used and/or shown in newspapers, television, magazines, internet, pamphlets, etc. You understand and agree that these rights belong to the race organization and may be used for these purposes.

If during the 2016 race, you do not meet the above race conditions; your entry to the 2017 race may be declined
